Renovation Update:

August 14 - November 7

RENOVATION UPDATE: The newly renovated ClayGround is coming soon! We’re turning the destructive pandemic on its head to construct a fantastically updated facility for you – get ready for a renewed venue to inspire even more creativity, community and fun! Classes and gallery remain temporarily suspended. Read our blog for more information and updates:

    • YARD SALE UPDATE: Last update we had planned a yard sale for Saturday August 8th.  Mother Nature had other plans for us and when we arrived bright and early on Saturday to set up we were greeted by a very large Oak tree that fell on top of our building.  So large that its trunk and branches smashed the shed, engulfed the backyard and cracked holes in our roof, gutters, and siding, in addition to completely blocking the driveway.  Needless to say, we took a deep breath, and we forge ahead with a new list of items and issues to address in our journey to a shining future.  The Yard Sale is now planned for the second Saturday in September. Same information as before (see below) sans Oak Tree. Remember –  we have items to interest everyone – from window air conditioners to desks; from juicers to coffee pots; from light bulbs to glass panes; from craft items to craft materials.  There’s bound to be a bargain in it for everyone!
    •  ADOPT-A-POT UPDATE:  Thanks to the fast thinking of our amazing staff and the generosity of The Flower Barn to allow us to use their premises, we moved the Adopt-A-Pot event over to lot D and it was a huge success! We raised close to $700.00 and, by unanimous vote of our team, were grateful to donate all proceeds to National Foundation of the Blind.  We were all so pleased with the reception to this event we’ve decided that we’re going to make this an annual event.  Stay tuned.
    • YARD SALE DATE: Saturday September 12, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Subject to more unexpected surprises)
    • WHERE:   All events will be held outside at our location at 3715 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, Md. 21043. Should the location need to be changed for any reason we will update this note.
    • REMINDER: Physical Distancing and Mask Wearing is required.
    • REOPENING: We expect to reopen in the fall.  You can schedule a time to enjoy any one of our glass fusion, mosaic, wheel throwing pottery or hand building pottery classes through our website.  And if you’re a returning customer, come back in the fall to glaze your bisque piece or pick up your glazed or glass fusion piece. And everyone will be able to enjoy our newly renovated building!

We’re excited to have you come along on our journey as we update the functionality of the building and modernize our facility.

Thank you!
