This two (2), six week program offers an in-depth academic and hands-on study of glazes for the serious potter. You will learn to:
1.Identify glaze properties; 2. analyze glaze inconsistencies; 3. apply glazes correctly; 4. determine misfit glazes; 5. conduct glaze tests; and 6. glaze maintenance.
At the end of both sessions, you will have a thorough understanding of glaze chemical properties and their functions to help you create your desired pottery pieces.
Participants must have taken at least 2 prior six week classes with us in either pottery wheel or hand building. Participation in the first session is required for participation in the second session.
Session 1: Monday evenings 5:00pm -8:00pm starting on June 26th ending n July 31st. Session 2: Monday evenings 5:00pm – 8:00pm starting on August 14th ending on September 18th.
